U.S. President George W. Bush prepares to go on mail-carrier alert at the White House April 21, 2002 as Bush's Mail Czar Barney warns of the extreme likelihood of mail carrier presence during attempted mail delivery this week. "We have received indications of possible activity" said a spokesperson for Barney's newly formed Department of Internal Mailbox Security. "No specific acts have been threatened, however, citizens should be on high alert status and report all suspected mail delivery attempts to authorities at once." President Bush hopes to rally Americans around his War On Mail to build support after his disasterous handling of events in the former Middle East.   (Dick LaWaque/Speuters)
